My husband and I came across one of Rebecca's etchings in the window of an art gallery, that literally drew us into the shop:

Land Marks ~ etching

We admired her work and seriously considered buying this print, but chickened out... We have never spent so much money on art before. We bought some cards instead, but I kept thinking we should probably buy something of hers eventually. This Christmas seemed like a good opportunity, and I have ordered a wonderful piece on line, that is currently hiding in our spare room still wrapped, ready to be given to my husband on Christmas Day. I'm beyond excited to see his face when he opens it... and then to have it in our home radiating its beauty, tranquility and sense of promise. It also feels kind of symbolic of where we are in life right now.

Silver Birch - Autumn Gold ~ etching

We both adore silver birch and woodland walks, and I feel very sure I've made the right choice.

Luckily, in this thread here we can just rejoice in all her beautiful work, and choose them all!

Truly stunning work - I just love the way her skies take off and sweep you away; yet in the last picture the sky is full of light and brilliance. Sometimes echoing the lines of the sky, in a different direction, are the lines of the earth; other pictures they work in the same direction but in totally different tones. Very often there is a great sense of movement and in one picture it looks as if white and purple flames are licking across the sky. I just love that one. :x

The trees also play such a vital part in creating an atmosphere - even as their skeletons stand still and proud or as they sway in the wild suggested wind!
Then there's all the detail and pattern in the earth - wonderful. These are just quick first impressions. :08:

So glad you're enjoying her pictures, MC.
I'm finding myself responding with so much emotion to them, it's quite unexpected.

On the big screen, these just sing! I don't understand how she makes her art;
I'll have to investigate. It almost looks like wood carving. The last one you posted is my absolute favorite. :x I can't wait until I have some damn TIME to spend in the Harbour!
