These are both beautiful. I’d hang them on my wall in a heartbeat! Still, the addition of a human figure makes so much more of an impact, doesn’t it?

You know I think I love all sea pictures - I'm trying to think of whether there are any I don't like and I can't.
The picture of the embracing couple from the Arcadia contemporary exhibition disturbs me. The woman looks as if she is blissfully happy and relaxed on the shoulder of the man, but he looks as if he is watching the viewer and is unhappy about that presence; he seems to have a life out of the picture challenging our view of who is looking at who and whether we have a right to trespass on their moment.
